Are you aged 18–30 and curious about a career in the heritage sector? Whether you're just starting out or exploring your options, our Heritage Futures events series is for you.
Join us for a day of insight, inspiration, and connection. This event is part of the UK-wide Heritage Futures series and is tailored specifically to young people interested in heritage careers—especially within Cardiff and Wales.
You'll hear from professionals working across the heritage sector, gain practical advice, explore local opportunities, and connect with others who share your interests. Whether you're into museums, archives, historic buildings, or community heritage, this is your chance to learn more and get involved.
What’s on the programme?
- Develop an understanding of the work of National Lottery Heritage Fund in Wales and the current projects happening in the area. As well as the career path of Senior Engagement Manager Cathryn Evans.
- Learn more about the Centre for Heritage and Research Training with Dr Hilary Orange.
- Gain insights into Perfform, a project researching built heritage for communities and collections, with principal investigator Nicola Emmerson.
- Take part in a tour of the Museum of Cardiff.

Ydych chi’n 18-30 oed ac yn chwilfrydig am yrfa yn y sector treftadaeth? P’un a ydych chi’n cychwyn arni neu’n ystyried eich opsiynau, mae ein cyfres o ddigwyddiadau Dyfodol Treftadaeth yn arbennig ichi.
Ymunwch gyda ni am ddiwrnod llawn gwybodaeth, ysbrydoliaeth a chysylltiad. Mae’r digwyddiad hwn yn rhan o gyfres Dyfodol Treftadaeth y DU gyfan ac mae wedi’i deilwra’n benodol i bobl ifanc sydd â diddordeb mewn gyrfa yn y maes treftadaeth – yn enwedig yng Nghaerdydd a Chymru.
Bydd cyfle ichi glywed gan weithwyr proffesiynol sy’n gweithio ar draws y sector treftadaeth, derbyn cyngor ymarferol, ymchwilio profiadau lleol, a chysylltu gydag eraill sy’n rhannu’r un diddordebau â chi. P’un ai ydych chi’n ymddiddori mewn amgueddfeydd, archifau, adeiladau hanesyddol, neu dreftadaeth gymunedol, dyma’ch cyfle chi i ddysgu mwy a chymryd rhan.

• Datblygu dealltwriaeth o waith Cronfa Dreftadaeth y Loteri Genedlaethol yng Nghymru a’r prosiectau sydd ar waith yn yr ardal ar hyn o bryd. Bydd cyfle ichi hefyd ddysgu am lwybr gyrfa’r Uwch Reolwr Ymgysylltu Cathryn Evans.
• Dysgu mwy am y Ganolfan Dreftadaeth a Hyfforddiant Ymchwil gyda Dr Hilary Orange.
